How your cork pull purchases help:
Over 30% of young women on scholarship since 2008 (i.e., those who had dropped out) will enter, are attending, or have graduated university. The percentage has greatly increased, thanks in many ways, to our continuation of the two-year State Dept. grant’s Advanced English and Computer after-school program that qualifies the 46 students enrolled for acceptance in the best universities.
This is such a great success story, but it makes increased demands on our ability to provide many young women and men alumni with four years of partial and full scholarship support. That’s one reason why your choice to help is so needed and invaluable.

All funds raised will provide scholarships to current 7th-12th grade girls who were in danger of dropping out of school due to their family’s dire poverty. These scholarships allow girls to remain in school where they are physically safe, can socialize and form lasting friendships, and attain an education, bettering their lives and the lives of their families.
We’re also providing university scholarships for graduating and enrolled alumni ($400-$2,600/year).
The families of girls who do not attend the first weeks of school in November are visited by our school director who assesses the family’s commitment to education and their poverty level. If recommended, these girls’ families will receive monthly stipends of $17, based on their acceptable attendance and grades for that month.
