Stay tuned for your personal invitation! We plan to hold our annual gala this year on October 16 at the Almaden Golf and Country Club once again.
This year, we achieved our most significant education accomplishment ever: our scholarships helped place six of our village middle school’s alumni in the best Cambodian universities--a remarkable achievement for village students whose families have no running water or electricity. Four of these alumni are girls who were forced to drop out of 7th grade because their families are so poor. Our scholarships allowed them to return to school and excel academically.
Funded by our scholarships, these six alumni have attended the Leadership Academy since graduating 9th grade from our village middle school. The Leadership Academy is a college prep boarding school in Phnom Penh that focuses on maturation of character through leadership, responsibility, and community service as well as pursuit of academic excellence.
Now, we must meet the challenge to fund their university education, our biggest expense at $22,000/year and over $96,000 to fund their university education over the coming years.
To raise funds, we’ll hold a silent and live auction and bring back our incredibly popular and successful Uber-Premium($200/cork for a wine and/or spirits package worth at least $200) and Premium cork pulls($100/cork for a wine and/or spirits package worth at least $100) that everyone asks about when we mention that we’re going to hold our gala again.
We hope to see you there!
