Eyeglass Clinic

We searched for a vision clinic online and found a Colorado non-profit organization called Seeing Is Believing whose mission is to provide vision screening and custom eyeglasses to Cambodian and Laotian villagers:

When Trammel Cox travelled Cambodia as a Mormon missionary, he discovered what we recognized as well: no Cambodian villagers wear glasses. While in still medical school, he decided to organize a non-profit group, Seeing Is Believing, to work with Cambodian optometrists to provide vision clinics and then make prescription glasses for villagers in need.

Trammel has been wonderful to work with. Just a few months after we asked if his group could provide a clinic for village families, he himself travelled to our school in July 2016 to help with the screening and eyeglass distribution. And incredibly, each pair of prescription glasses only cost $5. His organization's clinic fitted 260 villagers of all ages with glasses. He has put together a truly remarkable organization and has been a real inspiration for us!

You can double your donation, if you work for a company with a Matching Gift program, by applying for a matching donation from your company. We are registered with most of the organizations that manage matching gift programs for companies (e.g., benevity, Your Cause, Network for Good).
