In Sreylin’s Own Words

Who I am Now!

I'm Sreylin Chey and l am 18-year-old. I'm living at Sustainable School International. I just graduated from high school in 2020 during the pandemic. And I'm going to the college soon.

Better Than Yesterday

After 3 years in Leadership Academy, I have improved my soft skills, English speaking and more active than I am before. I become an independent woman with confidence. Since I joined with LA, I noticed that I'm more confident to talk, to show, to share with people and even strangers. I helped my society a lot by joining with leadership Academy through teaching, sharing knowledge and educating young generations to help clean the environment too. Joining Leadership Academy has changed my life a lot even my habit and attitude. I'll keep learning and participating with Leadership Academy as much as I can to be more and more successful for the future of myself and my country.

Why Software Engineering?

Hard work did pay me off. I was awarded the 100% scholarship by Kirirum Institute of Technology. I will learn with international professors and have more internship opportunities in Japan. I’m very impressed by an article “A Boy Who Cooks, A Girl Who Codes”, I will become one of the girls who code; I’m so excited about it. Also, I believe software engineering is a good match with me because I love to think critically and creatively.

Big Dream for the Community

After I graduate, I will move Cambodia toward digital technology as other developed countries. I’ll do my utmost to share and promote coding to the younger generations, especially girls. I will create an app to tackle some issues in the country, especially farmers.
